EASY Peanut Butter Dog Biscuit Recipe

Our dogs LOVE these EASY homemade peanut butter dog biscuits! I'm the first to admit that if a recipe is not quick and easy, it's just not gonna get made. So, I've perfected the art of One Dish baking prep. That's why I love making these biscuits. One dish to mix, one dish to bake. No tearing up the kitchen with this recipe. And, of course, they are Toby-approved! πŸ˜…

Super Easy PB Dog Biscuit Recipe

1 cup Peanut Butter (I use half creamy and half crunchy)

2 Large Eggs

2 1/2 cups Whole Wheat Flour

3/4 cup Water

Directions:

Mix together Peanut Butter and Eggs
Add flour and water (adjust water level, if needed)
Mix until incorporated well
Dough will be very dense

Roll flat and place on baking sheet (stoneware is pawsome!)
Cut before baking for easy break-apart treats
Bake at 350° for 18-20 minutes

(Left is Peanut Butter Biscuits on new Pampered Chef Stoneware Baking Pan)
(Right is Carrot Oatmeal Biscuits on old, well seasoned Pampered Chef Stoneware)

Time Saving Tip:
Dough can be prepared in bulk and stored in the freezer
Simply thaw, roll, bake

Long Term Storage of cooked biscuits:
a) bake longer until all are crunchy (just don't burn 'em)
b) bake @ 350° for 18 minutes, cut down to 180° to crisp
c) bake, cool, then dehydrate any soft biscuits until all are crunchy - 125° - 12-24 hours, depending on thickness
d) leave softer, keep out small portions and freeze the rest until ready for use

Measuring flour tip:
Use a kitchen scale and measure for accuracy, less time, and one less thing to clean!
Each cup of whole wheat flour weighs 4.6 oz
2 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour (for one recipe) weighs 11.5 oz

Easy tip for rolling dough:
Place dough between two silicone mats (or parchment will work if you don't have mats - it just won't be as easy)
Using a rolling pen (or a smooth glass), flatten the dough between two mats and transfer it to your baking sheet.

For perfectly crispy biscuits (& human cookies and treats, lol):

I absolutely prefer using stoneware baking pans.  The Pampered Chef Large Bar Pan is always gonna be my favorite. But, if you want a great one that's more cost-effective, this Stoneware Pan by RocksHeat is the ticket. Once you try stoneware, you'll fall in love with baking alllll the things on it.
